Filming is the art of developing an idea and vision through the thread of visual story-telling. A process that I believe, if done well, should reach any people because we are “communicating animals.” We, cinematographers, are using a language common to all human: visual communication, body language along with sounds and music. Thus, beyond the words we are able to create emotions and touch anyone watching.

 

 

Filmer, c'est développer une idée puis une vision à travers le fil du story-telling; un processus qui, je crois, s'il est bien exécuté, doit toucher tous les spectateurs car nous, les réalisateurs, sommes des « animaux communiquants. » Nous utilisons un langage universel, celui de la communication visuelle et du langage corporel, auquel nous ajoutons sons et musiques pour créer des émotions.
